It's not just a game. It's what it means to those who play it!

As Markus sat down on a bench, he couldn't help but admire the ocean stretched out before him. All the tech in this city, and a natural sight can still take your breath away. He needed to find a place to rest after the opening ceremony, even if he wasn't in the opening duel it was such a huge event. I really should have been focusing more on their play if I intend to win this, but I just can't remember any of that game. Markus looked out to the passing ships and pulled out his favorite d8, rolling it around between his fingers as he tried to decide if he wanted to review his deck a bit more, or if some other game would clear his mind.
Markus couldn't help but smile a bit as he made up his mind, to the point where he said aloud What was I thinking? It's obvious, the decision itself is another game! Odds, I focus. Evens, we break out something else. He rolled his d8 on the bench and it came up a 5. Whelp, that solves that problem. He finished as he pulled out his deck from the deckbox on the side of his backpack.

| How exciting it was to be apart of a tournament so massive. He had been waiting for an event like this. All the dueling in school showed he was more than enough competition for his fellow classmates but now he would be challenging people from across the globe. All the top duelist converging on one place and he was given the chance to be apart of it. Now all he needed to do was find an opponent.
He adjusted the duel disk on his arm. No matter how cool these things were they surely were uncomfortable. Felt like it was sucking the life out of his left arm. Sure did suck they needed to improve the technology next time. Who was he to complain though? He should be grateful he lived in a time of such technological greatness. Instead he was complaining about a little discomfort.
He focused again on the outside world when he saw a boy messing with some cards on a bench. "You duel me right now." It was pointless to introduce himself now. He had found potentially his first opponent for the tournament. He had to claim him as his adversary before anyone beat him to it.
